Psyllium Husk is a fiber that comes from the husk of the plantago ovata – a plant grown mainly  in Western Asia, and has been used in herbal medicine for years. Psyllium Husk has been very  well tested and has many health-promoting properties, which is why it is sometimes referred to  as ‘vital fiber’.

It contributes to reducing the level of total cholesterol and, importantly, the low molecular weight  LDL fraction. Scientific research shows that consuming dietary fiber in the form of psyllium, at a  dose of 3-24g/day, for just 2 weeks significantly influenced the level of cholesterol concentration.  

Furthermore, it’s long term effects mean fewer instances of complications in people with  coronary heart disease and a lower risk of death due to the disease, as well as a reduction in  the risk of developing atherosclerosis and an improvement in the lipid profile of patients. 

Reduces blood pressure 

In people suffering from hypertension, a reduction in systolic blood pressure was noticed thanks  to the daily additional supply of fiber.
